Thank you for visiting our page! My name is Hadi and I am a Holistic Nutritionist and Personal Chef and the owner of Holistic Performance.

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2008. After pursuing several career paths in the health field, I decided to combine my love of plants, food, and science and earned a Master’s degree in Nutrition from National University of Natural Medicine. I work with individuals seeking nutritional support for various conditions, as well as athletes who want to take care of their bodies while improving their performance through dietary modifications. I love meeting new people, as well as educating others about various nutrition topics and culinary skills essential for living a healthier life. I believe that gut health is essential to healthy living, and I provide nutritional support and education to everyone that I work with on how to maintain a healthy gut flora.

As a competitive high school athlete, I was in great shape for the majority of my life. During my first year in college, my family and I lost our house and became homeless. During this difficult time, I was enrolled as a full-time student and worked two part-time jobs to help support my family. We did not have access to the healthy foods that I grew up eating, and I stopped exercising due to my intense school and work schedule. This caused me to gain over 85 pounds, develop multiple GI issues and battle chronic joint pain. In my early twenties, decided that it was time to take control of my health again and regain my happiness and physical well-being. I began eating a whole-food, plant-based diet, while exercising 4-6 days/week. I began to shed the weight, and my GI issues resolved and, most importantly, I regained the happiness I once had.

I bring these experiences to the work I do with each individual that I work with because I know what it feels like to be in their shoes. Whether they are needing support for a health condition, positive self-image reassurance, or experiencing major difficulties in their lives, I see each client as an individual with specific needs. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach and I work with each client’s unique nutritional needs to help them reach their goals. Whether it’s shedding a few minutes off of their marathon time, or providing the support they need for a chronic health condition, I provide customized nutritional support for each client.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time in nature, gardening, hiking, camping, playing basketball and identifying various fungal and plant species. I am always striving to recreate popular dishes and create healthier versions that is still delicious. As a passionate gardener, I enjoy growing my own food as much as possible, and strive to educate others about how they can do the same. I also believe that exploring food from other cultures allows people to better connect to that culture; we can all relate to the joy that comes from sharing a meal with others.
